Ghana Premier League giant, Asante Kotoko is staying top of the standings of the division with an 8-point gap despite the team’s goalless draw with Bechem United on Tuesday afternoon.
With a healthy lead at the summit of the league table, the Reds are hoping to finish the Ghana Premier League as champions.
Today, Asante Kotoko visited the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park to lock horns with Bechem United in a matchday 19 encounter of the ongoing league season.
Although the team played some fine football, the opponent matched them in equal measure and succeeded in stopping the league leaders from scoring.
Despite dropping points at the end of the encounter, Asante Kotoko still maintains a healthy lead at the top of the league table.
The team has 41 points [8] more than the team in second, Aduana Stars [with 33 points].
Meanwhile, defending league champions, Hearts of Oak sit 8th on the Ghana Premier League table.
