The Black Stars of Ghana are set to earn $12 million if they overcome Nigeria and qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana and Nigeria will reignite their long-standing football rivalry in late March with both countries hoping to be in Qatar later this year.
The aggregate winner of the two games scheduled for Cape Coast on March 25, 2021, and March 29 in Abuja respectively will join four other African countries to represent the continent.
This means either Ghana or Nigeria will receive $2 million from the world football governing body, FIFA for preparation, and another $10 million as participation fee.
The 2022 World Cup will begin on November 21, 2022, and end on December 18, 2022
