Asante Kotoko vs Aduana FC – Baba Yara Stadium 15:00 GMT•

Asante Kotoko will be aiming to return to winning ways when they welcome Aduana FC to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in a pivotal matchday fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors, once contenders in the title race, have seen their title hopes fade in recent weeks following a dip in form. Consecutive defeats to relegation-threatened side Accra Lions and  second-placed Nations FC have left Kotoko in fourth place on the league table with 47 points. Their recent league record paints a concerning picture, with just one win and two draws from their last five matches.

Despite their struggles, Kotoko remain formidable at home. They are unbeaten in their last five matches at the Baba Yara Stadium, recording four wins and one draw while keeping four clean sheets in that run. Ranked as the fourth-best home team this season, the Reds will be desperate to halt their four-game winless streak and restore confidence in front of their loyal supporters.

Aduana FC, two-time league champions, head into the fixture sitting 10th on the table with 38 points. The Fire Club have enjoyed a decent run of form recently, securing three victories, one draw, and a single defeat in their last five games. With 25 goals scored and 23 conceded so far this season, Aduana have proven to be competitive on the road, ranking among the top ten away performers in the league.

However, history does not favour the visitors when it comes to away trips to Kumasi. In their last four visits to face Kotoko in the league since the 2020/21 season, Aduana have managed just one win—a narrow 1-0 victory in 2020/21. Since then, the Porcupine Warriors have remained unbeaten at home against Aduana, drawing 1-1 in 2021/22, and claiming back-to-back wins in 2022/23 (2-1) and 2023/24 (1-0).
