Former Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu has hinted at a possible return to the club in the near future.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko followers were horrified by Abdul Fatawu’s decision to leave the club in favour of a move to Swedish side Trelleborgs FC.
Asante Kotoko had high hopes for the forward after scoring 10 goals in the Special Competition.
Fatawu believes that the future is not set in stone and anything is possible, even a return to Kotoko.
He further suggested that he’s ready to answer whenever Kotoko comes calling.
Speaking to Daily Porcupine the striker said:”They (Kotoko fans) should always remember that I am always there for them, who knows maybe in the future I might come back to play for them,”
“They shouldn’t hate me because I left, I will always love them, they shouldn’t hate me because I respect and love them” he added.
Kotoko will no doubt be buoyed by the striker’s comment and may want to recapture his signature after struggling to replace him since his departure.
