It’s been a disappointing start for Hearts of Oak since the commencement of the league as tension and pressure has started mounting on the technical body of the team.
After the match against Bofoakwa Tano, assistant manager of the club reacted to the team’s performance on the road.
Abdul Rashid Bashir acknowledged that his team fell short against Bofoakwa Tano at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Hearts of Oak fell short of expectations after losing their previous road game against RTU, as Saaka Dauda’s goal in the 47th minute put them behind.
As Bofoakwa Tano outplayed them and successfully dispelled their threats, the Phobians were unable to develop a counter. Bofoakwa outlasted Hearts of Oak to earn a noteworthy victory.
Bashir, speaking to StarTimes after the match, stated, “To be frank with you we played so bad, especially in the first half. That wasn’t the plan. The score line was a fair score line,” Bashir told StarTimes at full time.
Later part of the game we came in the game but it was too late. And I think they played well,” he added.
