Edward Odoom has been announced by Hearts Of Oak Board member Alhaji Brimah Akambi as their substantive Coach.
Earlier in the week the Phobians were rumoured to have been in close contact with Ibrahim Tanko and Stephen Appiah which left the vast majority to believe that at least one of the two individuals would be occupying the position.
The “Never say die” club after parting ways with their former coach Kim Grant have struggled to fill the coaching position.
The Accra based club then appointed Nii Odoom as the interim Coach who then led the team to the 9th spot on the Ghana Premier with 17 points after 12 games.
Alhaji Brimah Akambi made the revelation to Gabriel Obu of zyolofon FM. “Point of correction, I don’t think anybody told you that Edward Odoom was a stop gab coach,” Akambi disclosed to Gabriel Obu of Zylofon FM.
“We brought him as our coach so that’s the point of correction am trying to put out there. Odoom is our head coach. Currently, we have our head coach and he is the one doing the job.”
Nii Odoom is expected to lead the team when they visit Inter Allies on March 13 on Sunday despite the fans discontent.
