Amankwah Mireku chooses Hearts of Oak best player of all time

Ex Hearts of Oak captain Amankwaah Mireku has tipped former colleague Emmanuel Osei Kofi as the club’s best player of all time.

Accra Hearts of Oak since their emergence have produced many of Ghanaian football’s most talented players one could ever see.

The capital-based club have had some really great teams in the past,you cannot praise Hearts of Oak’s glory days without a mention of the 64 Battalion.

The 64 battalion as they were affectionately called were one of the most dominant forces in African football in the year 2000.

Due to how complete they were as a team,it would’ve been difficult to single out a particular player for praise.

In the past few weeks debates have been sparked in regards to who was the best player of this great side. Names like Charles Taylor and Dong Bortey have been suggested as a possible answer to the question.

But Amankwah Mireku has declared Emmanuel Osei Kofi as his best player of all time.

The former skipper believes that Osei Kofi’s ability to perceive and comprehend the game of football makes him an easy choice.

Speaking to Tru FM,
“I will choose Emmanuel Osei Kuffour as the all time best player because he was brilliant than the other players. His intelligence in football was very high that’s why I chose him as the best player”.
