Andre Ayew on Fire: Ghanaian Star Scores in Le Havre’s Thrilling Draw

Andre Ayew

Ghana skipper Andre Ayew found the net for Le Havre as they battled French giants Paris Saint-Germain to a pulsating 3-3 draw in the French Ligue 1.

The former West Ham midfielder’s goal in the 38th minute restored Le Havre’s lead after PSG had canceled out the opening goal by Christopher Operi.

Le Havre took a surprise lead through Operi in the 19th minute, but Bradley Barcola equalized for PSG ten minutes later. Ayew’s strike right before halftime put Le Havre back in front. Abdoulaye Toure further extended their lead from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

However, PSG refused to give up. Achraf Hakimi narrowed the deficit to 3-2 in the 78th minute, before substitute Goncalo Ramos snatched a dramatic equalizer deep into stoppage time

While the draw delays PSG’s title celebrations, Le Havre will be pleased with a crucial point in their fight against relegation. They currently sit 15th in the league table with 29 points after 31 matches.

Le Havre return to action on May 1st when they host Strasbourg at Stade Océan.

Ayew’s goal marked his fourth of the season in 16 Ligue 1 appearances, proving his continued influence for Le Havre.
