Black Stars captain Andre Ayew is set to leave Nottingham Forest as his contract with the club runs out in the summer.
Ayew joined the club in January on a six-month deal after leaving Al Sadd late last year to reunite with former coach Steve Cooper who initially managed the 33-year-old at Swansea City.
Ayew helped the team achieve their primary target of maintaining their Premier League status as they finished 16th with 38 points.
Having ended the season successfully, the club has begun plans of preparing ahead of next season which includes seeing off a few players including Cafú, Jack Colback, Jesse Lingard, Jordan Smith, and Lyle Taylor alongside Andre Ayew.
Despite not finding the back of the net in his 13 appearances with the club, Ayew chieved the remarkable feat of reaching 100 appearances in the renowned competition.
The former Olympic Marseille player is now without a club and would be looking to strike a favourable deal with a new club before the new season commences.
Nonetheless, Ayew will be leading the Black Stars as captain as the team prepares to face Madagascar in their bid to qualify for the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
