Arab Contractors head coach Emad El-Nahas has tested positive for COVID-19 and is set to miss his club’s clash against Étoile du Sahel in the CAF Confederation Cup
Arab Contractors have qualified for the first round of the 2021 CAF Confederation Cup after beating Arta/Solar7 of Djibouti 10-1 on aggregate in the Preliminary round.
They are now set to face Tunisian giants Étoile Sportive du Sahel in the first round, with the first-leg set to be played in next Tuesday, December 22 in Cairo.
However, the Contractors will head into the game without their head coach Emad El-Nahas after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The 44-year-old didn’t have the best of starts to the 2020/21 season, suffering two defeats in their opening two games to both Zamalek and Wadi Degla.
Since his appointment as Arab Contractors manager, El-Nahas has led the club in 65 games, winning 29, drawing 17, while losing 19.
Earlier this week, the team’s top scorer last season Seifeddine Jaziri has also tested positive and he is also set to miss Tuesday’s game.
