Asante Kotoko and Medeama are set to present a joint team to travel to the USA for their game against DC United. Medeama has communicated to the players who will go for the trip, though Kotoko IMC are yet to respond to this suggestion.
The Joint team will play DC United on October 12, 2024, at the state-of-the-art Audi Field in the USA.
Kotoko were supposed to be the sole team to face DC United, but visa issues prevented most of their players from securing entry into the US.
Medeama, having participated in the same ceremonial game last year and possessing players with valid US visas, has stepped in to bolster the squad.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has reapplied for visas for the team members whose applications weren’t successful today. They are expected to receive an update tomorrow.
The GFA proposed a joint team for the trip in case the Kotoko visa isn’t successful.
