Kumasi Asante Kotoko moved to second position on the league table after beating High flying Bechem United in the Betpawa premier league.
In an end to end game which saw both teams create chances. The lack of proficiency meant it was not going to be a goal harvest. Kotoko made series of attacks into the half of Bechem United signaling their intent on the day. In one of such attacks Enoch Morrison cut in onto his cultured left foot before squeezing a low drive pass Bechem United goalkeeper Aziz Haruna to give Kotoko the opener in the 21st minute.
The second half saw Bechem United up their game but the defense of Kotoko stayed resolute all afternoon. In form Hafiz Wutah Konkoni was kept quiet by Mohammed Alhassan.
Kotoko came close to getting their second of the day but Steve Mulwala effort went straight into the arms of Aziz Haruna. The away side pushed for the opener but Kotoko was not ready to dash a single point to Coach Kassim Mingle
Kotoko currently trail league leaders Aduana Stars just five points elswhere Aduana Stars were surprisingly held to a stalemate at Dormaa by King Faisal, which has given Kotoko a great opportunity to close the gap at the top of the table.
