Former Black Stars right-back Samuel Inkoom has revealed his admiration for Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko by stating that the club is the best team he’s ever played for.
The Ghanaian defender who plys his trade in Georgia with Samtredia asserted that money wasn’t his motivation when he joined the Kumasi based club, he believes that he was rather focused on helping the team achieve its objectives.
Samuel Inkoom has no doubts whatsoever about the benefits an Asante Kotoko player could derive from giving their all to the team.
Speaking to Kumasi based radio station Fox FM “I always tell those who currently play for Kotoko that if they commit themselves to the team they will enjoy and feel extremely proud as well.
He continued“My move to Kotoko wasn’t about money, If I remember correctly I was the lowest paid player in the team but wasn’t thinking about the money, my focus was on helping the team develop because when the team develops the value of it players will rise as well“.
Samuel Inkoom spent the 2007/2008 season with Asante Kotoko before moving to FC Basel in the Swiss Super League in April 2009.
