Asante Kotoko Face Eleven Wonders In Accra – Preview Of Match Day One

Asante Kotoko will kick start the 2020/21 season on Sunday, November 15, 2020 with a home game against Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports stadium.

The former Ghanaian champions had a busy transfer window recruiting eight new players to augment their squad. Coach Maxwell Konadu has been provided with the Arsenal to deal with opponents this season and that will be put to test on Sunday when they take on Wonders.

The Porcupine Warriors have in their fold, Sulley Muniru, Patrick Asmah, Latif Anabila, Emmanuel Keyeke, Mubarik Yussif, Evans Adomako, Razak Abalora and former Brazil youth player Fabio Dos Santos. For Asante Kotoko, playing against Eleven Wonders is a fine opportunity to test their new recruits.

They looked promising in pre-season by recording some impressive results in friendly games against both lower tier and top Division clubs.

In Eleven Wonders, Kotoko should expect a solid opposition, a side that boast of young and experienced players. Wonders Coach Ignatius Osei Fosu, is expected to parade the likes of John Moosie, Ashitey Ollenu, Tetteh Nortey and Abdul Zakaria Mugeese, players who have seen it all on the domestic front.

The game is scheduled for 18:00 GMT kick off at the Accra Sports stadium.

In other duels, AshantiGold SC will battle Karela United Football Club at the Len Clay park in Obuasi.

The miners lost a considerable number of players in the transfer window but still look formidable following the signing of Empem Dacosta, Atta Kusi, Yaw Annor and Hans Kwofi. However, five first team players have left the club.

They include, Shafiu Mumuni, Yussif Mubarik, Latif Anabila, James Akaminko and Eric Donkor. In other fixtures, West African Football Academy will host King Faisal at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs will play at home against Elmina Sharks in a local derby at Cape Coast.

Two-time MTN FA Cup winners Medeama SC have a test against Accra Great Olympics at the Akoon park at Tarkwa.

There will be two games on Monday, November 15, 2020. Liberty Professionals will play against Bechem United in Dansoman. While Inter Allies face Dreams FC at the Accra Sports stadium at 6pm.
