Nana Kwame Dankwah who is a management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has called on the faithful followers of the club to remain calm amid growing concerns over the FIFA fine that has been imposed on the club.
The Porcupine Warriors have been asked to pay $240,000 by FIFA for breaching transfer regulations.
Kotoko are faced with a possibility of being demoted to the lower division if they fail to meet the 17 May 2020 deadline that has been given to them.
FIFA announced this decision after it was made clear to them that Asante Kotoko had broken some rules in the deal that brought Emmanuel Clottey to Kotoko from Tunisian side Esperance in 2015.
Nana Kwame Dankwah has therefore advised supporters to keep their calm after assuring them that the deadline will be met.
“Our supporters should remain calm. Efforts are being made to make sure Kotoko will sort out issues before the deadline. There is no cause for alarm. In fact, the Executive Chairman has directed that we should not panic”
He is just organising himself to get the money and pay to the people”, he told Joy FM.
