Kumasi Asante Kotoko are in Sudan having their second phase of their preseason ahead of the Betpawa premier league and the CAF Champions league.
The porcupines have finally part ways with former captain, Ismail Abdul Ganiyu after 4years stay at the club.
Ganiyu,who led Asante kotoko won their 24th GPL title wrote to the management of Asante kotoko to terminate his 12months contract with the club. Due to his request,he was left out of the team that went to Sudan.
Reports circulating in the media is that, Asante kotoko Management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah has officially terminated the contract of their former captain.
Ganiyu was stripped off his captaincy and was given to Richard Boadu.
The stalwart defender joined the porcupines from Karela in 2018.
