Atletico Madrid sets sight on Ghanaian defender

Atletico Madrid have set their sight on Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu who plays his club football for Spanish rivals, Real Valladolid.

Despite the 2019/2020 league campaign being his first experience in the Spanish top-flight, Mohammed Salisu has established himself as one of the most reliable Centre-backs in La Liga.

His consistent performances have won the hearts of many of the Real Valladolid supporters.

With such excellent displays, the Violet and white army will no doubt be eager to keep the 21-year old on their books but with teams like Atletico Madrid and Manchester United hunting for the signature of the Ghanaian, their chances of holding on to him looks rather slim.

The Rojiblancos are believed to be in pole position to secure the talented Centre-back to the Spanish Capital.

With the number of clubs vying for his signature, the upcoming transfer window will no doubt be a critical one for Salisu who is set to make a big break in his football career.

Salisu’s release clause is currently set at 10.5 million Euros.
