Following recent Hearts Of Oak and Gladson Awako’s saga, renowned football journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo of Citi tv took to his social media to educate fans more on what entails in the players contract as with the Oak club.
This, pending what the cheif executive officer of Accra Great Olympics, Mr.Oluboi Commodore earlier tuesday morning on Happy fm suggest the former TP Mazembe player is no more to feature for Hearts Of Oak pending the club’s inability to have make full payment for the transfer of the boy on an agreed date.
Oluboi explained an agreement was reached with the continental club masters due to past experience with them concerning transfer issues.
“We had an agreement with Hearts of Oak and they wanted to pay 50 percent. the first installment was paid on the 13th September”, he told Happy FM.
“The second installment was to be paid on October 2. In the agreement, it was said if they fail to pay the money the agreement is nullified or terminated which was signed by Vincent Sowah Odotei”

Debunking such story by Mr Commodore, the renowned sports writer said, “We really need to educate ourselves. Oluboi Commodore goes on radio to say because Hearts of Oak failed to pay the 2nd installment of Awako’s contract sum by the due date, the player’s contract is automatically terminated. First of all, that’s not even possible.”
“When a player moves to a club, two contracts are signed: Club to Club contract, and Player to Player Contract.”
“Contracts have penalty clauses when it comes to default in payment. Nowhere in the FIFA regulations does it allow for a selling club to cancel a contract upon default.”
“If that clause exists in the Oly to Hearts contract, it cannot be deemed valid. Every MA regulations must conform with FIFA regulations. Any such clause is alien to the FIFA laws.”
