Baba Mahama Sees Red As Legon Cities Win First Game Of The Season.

Legon Cities won their first game of the season when they hosted West Africa Football Academy at the Accra Sports Stadium in week eight of the Ghana Premier League.

The clubs exhibited great football in the first half but none was able to convert any of the chances created as the half ended in goalless.

The home team showed more aggression in the second half and had the lead through Joseph Adjei in the 46th minute, converting beautifully from the penalty spot after Mattew Anim Cudjoe was brought down in the penalty box.

Former Asante Kotoko winger Baba Mahama was shown the exit in the 90th minute after obstructing the goalkeeper of WAFA. One-nil the game ended.

The win means Legon cities are temporarily up from the bottom of the league table to 17th, exchanging positions with King Faisal who are yet to play.
