Barcelona crowned Champions of the Spanish Super Cup after 3-1 victory over Real Madrid

Fc Barcelona are the new Spanish Super Cup champions after a convincing 3-1 win over last year winners Real Madrid.

The game begun with Barca dominating Madrid with Lewandowski coming close to opening the scoring in the early minutes.

After 33 minutes of action, the Catalan side opened the scoring through Gavi after a wonderful assist from Robert Lewandowski.

The 18 year old found the button right corner with his left foot after Madrid were pressed high by Barcelona as they lost possession.

Moreover, right before the break, Barcelona doubled their lead through Robert Lewandowski after a wonderful cross from Gavi on the left side of the box.

The game went into the break with Barcelona having a two goal advantage as Xavi’s men eyed their first trophy in two years.

Barcelona went on to get a third through Pedri who was found from the left flank of the Barca attack by Gavi and the Catalans were absolutely cruising against former champions Real Madrid.

Real Madrid looked disjointed and outmatched by Barcelona in the final and Carlo Ancelloti’s men will look work to defend La Liga and the Champions League later this season.

However, Karim Benzema pulled one back in the final minute of the game yet it was not enough to bring Madrid level.
