Bechem United charged with breach of Ghana Premier League regulation after defeat to Hearts

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) prosecutor has charged Bechem United with a breach of Section 38(8) (a) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019.

This follows the allegation that Bechem United head coach Kwaku Danso failed to show up for his mandatory post-match press conference after the game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday evening.

 

In a notice from the GFA Prosecutor, it said Bechem United has until September 25, to respond to the charges.

“Bechem United have been charged with a breach of Section 38(8) (a) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019, following their Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak.

It is alleged that the club failed to present its coach for the mandatory post-match press conference after the said game. They have until Wednesday, 25th September 2024, to respond to the charges,” the GFA prosecutor said.

The match between Hearts of Oak and Bechem United was a Week 3 contest of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

At the end of an exciting contest at the Legon Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak cruised to a 2-0 win to secure a first win of the new league campaign.
