BetPawa’s Locker Room bonus initiative, which was introduced in the 2022/23 season to reward Ghana Premier League players, has been extended for the 2024/25 campaign.
Under this initiative, players in matchday squads will receive GHS 400 each as a cash reward for every match their team wins, matching last season’s amount. This year, three technical team members per matchday squad will also be included in the bonus package.
In addition to the men’s league, BetPawa has expanded the Locker Room bonus to cover the Women’s FA Cup. Starting from the round of 16, female players will also receive GHS 400 for each victory.
We will continue to sponsor the Premier League and we have decided to extend the sponsorship not only to men but also to women. The Ghana Football Association will receive a commission to make it happen,” said BetPawa’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ntoudi Mouleyo-Katouza, during a press briefing.
“The GFA is receiving the commission based on conditions that we have set and they have agreed,” he added. These conditions include the timely organization of matches and submission of matchday squads 24-48 hours before games.
BetPawa has invested approximately GHS 1,900,000 in the Locker Room bonus over two seasons and has also promised to build stands for fans at the AstroTurf they constructed at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Currently, nine matchdays into the Ghana Premier League season, Bibiani GoldStars lead the table, reflecting a strong start to the campaign.
