Big Blow:Keagan Dolly to miss Bafana Bafana’s AFCON Campaign

Bafana Bafana attacker Keagan Dolly could be a no-show for the country’s AFCON qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan this month.

This after the French Professional League (LFP) confirmed that Ligue 1 & 2 have unanimously voted not to allow their players travel outside the European Union.

This will mean African players in France – including Dolly, will not be allowed to compete in the upcoming AFCON 2021 Qualifiers this month.

The French clubs say that they have taken this stand based on FIFA’S circular 1749 of 5th February,  with regards to the 7-day isolation period that players are subjected to when they return from the international break according to the national policy and as a result, will miss the first domestic league game.

This news will come as a blow to Bafana Bafana who could possibly be without both Percy Tau and Bongani Zungu, who are facing a similar situation at Brighton & Hove Albion and Glasgow Rangers respectively.

The former winger of Memolodi Sundowns has appeared 16 times for Montpellier.
