The Black Queens, Ghana’s women’s national football team, have dropped in the most recent FIFA Women’s rankings.
The Black Queens are now rated 59th globally according to FIFA’s rankings, down from their prior level of 58th (1419.63 points), which they held.
This loss of 8.74 points in the most recent ranking came from this drop of one position.
Ghana’s ranking fell as a result of their inability to advance to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023, which is unfortunate since it means they are no longer among the top 50 female national teams worldwide. Only two African teams are represented in the top 50, Nigeria (32) and South Africa (45).
