Ghana’s Black Satellites striker, Michael Ephson has expressed his excitement to reunite with his team mates at Samartex FC for the upcoming matches following his triumphant performance at the 2023 African Games.

“I am extremely excited to join my colleagues for the rest of the matches. I am well prepared to complement their efforts so far to keep on winning matches,” Michael Ephson told Samartex Media on his return to his club Samartex FC.

Ephson was a member of Ghana’s under-20 football team, the Black Satellites, which secured gold at the recently concluded 2023 African Games. The forward scored the decisive goal against Senegal in the semi-finals, propelling Ghana to the final. Ultimately, Ghana emerged victorious against Uganda in the final, clinching gold at the African Games.

With Samartex FC leading the Ghana Premier League with 42 points after 23 matches, Ephson’s return is eagerly anticipated.  This season, he has netted 4 goals in 15 league matches for Samartex FC.

The team’s next challenge awaits them as they face reigning champions Medeama SC on April 7.

Samartex FC expects Ephson’s experience and success on the international stage to strengthen their quest for continued success in the league.
