The confedration of Africa football CAF has announced in what will be the 34th edition of the continental showdown AFCON 2023 to be held in Cote D’ivoire.
The tournament is said to take a dive from it regular start dates of January to February,this time from june 23 to july 23 making fully a solid one month participation with 24 countries.
Currently the 33rd edition which was supposed to have been held in january 2021 is ongoing in Cameroon due to the outbreak of deadly covid-19 with Egypt be the most cup winners on seven whiles Cameroon the host nation trails with fifth chasing for their sixth as they whitewash the Wallias Ibex of Ethiopia by 4-1 in the second group A encounter.
