Ghana legendary midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has signed a one-year contract with last season’s Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak in the ongoing winter transfer window.
The 37-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the Phobians after passing a mandatory medical examination and is expected to be unveiled by the club in the coming hours.
Muntari has played for several clubs in Europe including Sunderland, Udinese, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Portsmouth, and Pescara.
Muntari won UEFA Champions League with the Italian club Inter Milan during the 2009/10 season.
He becomes the second global icon to make a return from the Ghana Premier League after Asamoah Gyan who was acquired by Legon Cities the last term.
