Breaking News:FIFA begins investigation into Ghana versus South Africa penalty incident

FIFA has opened an investigation into Ghana’s world cup qualify win against the South Africans at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday 14th November 2021.

FIFA opened up the investigation after SAFA reviled the performance of the referee Ndiaye to be investigated after gifting the Black Stars a penalty at the 30th minute to help them progress to the playoff stage.

SAFA made the “formal complaint” on Monday about “questionable decisions” made by the match officials in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat by Ghana.

FIFA has today confirmed that the football body is reviewing the penalty incident after SAFA submitted their letter to FIFA.

“FIFA has received a complaint from the South African FA about this matter and will review it. Please understand we cannot comment further at this stage,” FIFA said in a statement on Tuesday.
