Charles Sagoe makes his debut for Arsenal against Brentford in the EFL Carabao Cup yesterday

Charles Sagoe Jr., an English-Ghanaian midfielder, made a memorable debut for Arsenal in their 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Brentford on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old, who can play on the wing or as an offensive midfielder, received his first start in the fifth-round match, and his performance impressed Arsenal supporters.

Sagoe Jr., who joined Arsenal from Fulham in 2015 and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2022, has constantly shown his attacking skill throughout a range of age levels.

Over the last two seasons, he has excelled at both the Under-18 and Under-21 levels.

The lad had a promising debut, with Mikel Arteta still monitoring the development of the player.
