Coach Nurudeen Amadu blames fatigue for King Faisal recent struggle, calls for new signings

Head coach of King Faisal, Amadu Nurudeen has blamed his side’s recent struggle to fatigue calling for the need to beef up the squad in the second window.

The “Insha Allah” boys suffered their second successive defeat in two weeks and four in all this season after an impressive start to the campaign.

A back to back 2-0 defeat to Eleven Wonders and Karela United has seen Faisal dropped to third position on the League standings.

Speaking to the media after his side 2-0 defeat to Karela United, Nurudeen Amadu believes his charges are getting tired and he needs to strengthen his squad to ease the pressure.

“We were not tactically good enough, I think that we have lost some power, be that fatigue is setting in, we need to look at all those factors.

“But I think that Karela were better. They stopped us from playing our normal game and they were having more men behind the ball, they utilized their chances.

“We created many chances but we squandered them and so it’s a very worrying worrying issue but that is football and we have to move on.

“These two defeats, it has created some grief in our midst but we will go back and then resolve it and then get going,”

The coach also explained why he needs to beef up the squad.

“I think that fatigue is setting on our boys and I think we need to beef up the team since we have the open [transfer] window.

“So we need to bring some players to beef up the team. I can see that there is fatigue.”

King Faisal will now shift their attention to the MTN FA Cup when they come up against Karela United on Wednesday.
