Coach Rashid of Lady Strikers: Army Ladies came to frustrate us

The head coach of Lady Strikers coach Rashid Idde in a post match interview with SoccaNews.com reporter, he expressed his feelings about the game against Army Ladies in week four of the Ghana women’s premier league (GWPL) and believes they [Army] came to frustrate them and they did perfectly.

“ They [Lady Strikers] players were frustrated, the game Army Ladies played was to frustrate us. They [Army] were playing five defenders and a sweeper. They don’t go forward as well, my players lose the balls to them cheaply because they were in a harry to score” coach Rashid.

Going into the game, Lady strikers have enjoyed two win on the run after loosing their first game of season to defending champions an title contenders Hasaacas Ladies.

They went on to beat Thunder Queens and came from behind to win against Soccer Intellectuals all at home.

Army Ladies at the other hands have had a very bad season though the season is just four week old, they [Army] lost all their three games conceding four goals in each of their three previous games.

On this note, the head coach of Lady Strikers never underrated them and believes it was going to be a very difficult game for them. At the end of the 90 minutes of beautiful football on the green turf, Lady Strikers score one pass Army to emerge as the champions of the day.

Lady Strikers are currently on top of the league table with 9 points, 2 points ahead of defending champions Hasaacas Ladies with a game in hand to play.
