Commonwealth Games DAY 7: Team Ghana Continues To Hunt For First Medal

Medal hopeful Benjamin Azamati in the 100m finals came 4th with a time of 10.16sec which was a bit disappointing to many Ghanaians who watch his race in the hope to get the first medal

  1. Joseph Paul Amoah is through to the semi-finals of the men’s 200m. He was 1st in his heat with a time of 20:58
  2. Saminu Abdul-Rasheed placed third in heat 2 of the 200 meters with a timing of 21.32 seconds to advance to the semis.
  1. Abigail Kwarteng has made it to the finals of the women’s high jump after finishing 1.81m.
  2. Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah has qualified for the finals of the women’s high jump with season best of 1.81m.
