The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce the dates for this season’s Mid-Season Referee Programme. The programme aims to review and assess the performance of referees in the first round, while enhancing their performance and fitness in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
The programme commences on Thursday, January 30, 2025, with a virtual discussion session and weekly video reviews. This will be followed by a written test on the Laws of the Game and Regulations on Saturday, February 2, 2025. The test will assess participating referees’ knowledge of FIFA and GFA Regulations and their application in real-game scenarios.
The final component of the programme is a critical fitness test, scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. This in-person event will evaluate referees’ physical readiness for the second round of the Premier League campaign.
The Referee Department urges all Elite-level referees to take note of the programme and prepare accordingly.
