Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is calling for a balanced approach from his team as they prepare for the crucial second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final against Egyptian giants Zamalek SC.
“We understand this stage is tougher,” Zito acknowledged. “It’s more open, and we can’t afford to be too passive.”
The first leg in Cairo last week ended in a goalless draw, leaving the tie wide open. Zito emphasized the need for attacking intent while remaining composed. “We’ll go all out to score,” he declared, “but with caution.”
Dreams FC will be buoyed by home advantage as they host the return leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, April 28th. The winner will face either RS Berkane of Morocco or USM Alger of Algeria in the final.
Dreams FC, aiming for a historic upset, will need to navigate the fine line between offensive ambition and defensive responsibility if they are to overcome the experienced Zamalek and reach the final.
