Ex-Hearts of Oak player Charles Allotey has called for the head of the current Hearts Of Oak coach Edward Nii Odoom citing he is not up to the level to manage a big club like Hearts Of Oak and must be thrown back to handle the club’s junior side.
In an interview with television network TV3, the CAF Champions League winner said:
“It is very low. They should give Auroras to him and then find another coach to coach the senior side. The players are going down.”
“If you like to check from when [Kim] Grant was a coach and now you can see that the players are not playing as well as they were playing at first. Let’s take a player like Benjamin Arthur. He cannot play anymore but when he was at Liberty he was playing very well.”
“They should give him Auroras and find an old player who can manage the team because I think he is too slow. He is too slow for my liking. If I were a player under him, I wouldn’t listen to him too much but unfortunately, he has to talk to the players.”
Edward Odoom has been in charge on an interim basis since the exit of former gaffer Kim Grant in December last year.
He has played 14 games winning 5 and losing 3 while picking up 5 draws before the season was suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.
