He added, “I met him on the same day, and he offered me to join Zamalek, and I really agreed. My decision was to play for Zamalek and we agreed on everything, my desire to play for a big team competing for tournaments after leaving Al-Ahly.”
Sheikh I follow, “I did the medical examination and went home, and then I don’t know what happened with the deal.”
“I never made any statements regarding Zamalek or its fans.”
“I have no problem if Zamalek refused to sign me for tactical reasons, but it shouldn’t because of statements that I never made.
“I can only curse the person who fabricated these statements, and I actually filed a complaint against him at the time and after a while this journalist left his newspaper,” he concluded.
El-Sheikh’s only goal in his two games with Pyramids so far came against Zamalek in their 1-1 draw.
Pyramids have had a sloppy start to their seasons as they currently sit 15th on the league table with one point from a possible six.
