Legon cities have opted out of a deal to acquire the services of Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Empem Dacosta after failing to reach an agreement with the Porcupines.
A deal for the defender was all but secured after days of speculations.However, Legon cities decided against the transfer with just som few details left to finalise the deal.
With the transfer window now closed, Dacosta will be forced to stay at the club despite his desire to leave.
Kennedy Boakye who is the communication officer for Asante kotoko announced that the player will remain with the club until at least the next transfer window.
” As we all know Legon Cities wrote to us about Dacosta’s service, we discussed everything with them. But they came back and told us they are no longer interested in him. So he will remain at our club” he told Light FM.
