Enugu Rangers striker Ifeanyi George has been confirmed dead today following a fatal car accident.
According to report, George (26) who was heading to Enugu from Lagos was driving the car along with other teammates when it crushed into a stationary heavy duty truck.
“We just heard of this disturbing news,” said Rangers general manager Davidson Owumi.
“We call for prayers in this hour of pains.” He added.
Enugu Rangers who are 4th on the NPFL table with 37 points gave their players a break following the postponement of the NPFL in midweek due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Ghanaian international Nana Bonsu has been an integral part of the side since last season helping the course of the club in domestic and continental competitions.
