Ernest Nuamah To Exit Lyon After Loan Spell

Talented Ghanaian Forward, Ernest Nuamah is set to leave French Ligue 1 side. Olympique Lyon after his season-long loan spell officially ended on June 30.

Media reports in France suggest Lyon will not make the move permanent this summer. Ernest Nuamah will return to his parent club, RWD Molenbeek in the Challenger Pro League – Belgian second-tier league.

He helped Lyon finish in sixth position to earn UEFA Europa League. Spot after fighting to climb up the relegation zone in December.

The 20-year old forward scored three goals and recorded two assists in 29 games. Lyon in the French Ligue 1 last season. Playing a grand total of 1850 minutes, he contributed to a goal every 370 minutes on the average in the league.

Ernest Nuamah already has 12 senior national team caps to his name and three goals. The last being in the crucial World Cup Qualifiers against Mali on June 6, 2024.

Before making the 25 million Euros move to RWD Molenbeek, he won the Player of the Season and the Top Scorer of the Danish league with 12 goals and 4 assists in 30 matches, playing for FC Nordsjaelland.

Ernest Nuamah currently has a market value of 18 million Euros, according to Transfermarkt.

His departure marks the end of an exciting chapter for the young talent.
