Exclusive: Hearts close to signing Cameroonian Striker

The Phobians are closing in on the signing of Cameroonian attacker Enow Nkembe,  phobianews.com understands.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at Fortune du Mfou at the end of the month and has long been linked with a move away from the club. Should the deal materialise, Nkembe will be the second former Fortuna du Mfou player to join a Ghanaian club after Franck Etouga Mbella and will be the third Cameroonian to play in the Ghanaian top-flight.

With 13 goals in 22 games, Nkembe is the leading goal scorer in the Cameroonian league. Nkembe had previously played for Albanian side KS Kastrioti, American outfit Las Vegas Lights FC, Dragon Club, and Colombe Sport.

The imminent arrival of Nkembe will be a huge boost for the Phobians as they prepare to wrest Kotoko for the title.

Nkembe’s signing could also be the first part of a significant improvement of Hearts’ playing squad, especially in the attacking department.
