SO FAR: Ghanaian Football Personalities Who Have Donated In This Coronavirus Era

We are not in normal times, as the world has been hit with deadly Coronavirus disease claiming thousands of lives across the world.

There has been several attempts to combat the virus but continues to spread, causing major economic financial implications in even developed European countries.

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonel Messi have donated over two million euros to affected communities in Spain, Portugal and Argentina to help fight the Coronavirus.

In Ghana, there has been similar gestures from few  footballers and coaches, donating in their small ways to combat the Coronavirus.

Ghana on Friday, March 27th 2020 declared a lock down in Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi which will take effect on Sunday might, a decision by the president as fight the pandemic.

Black Stars general captain Asamoah Gyan was on the streets of Accra yesterday  to educate the public on coronavirus preventive measures and together with Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe constituency,  Tina Mensah, they  distributed  rubbing alcohol, sanitizers,soaps, tissue papers, bins and veronica buckets.

JONATHAN MENSAH

Through the Jonathan Mensah Foundation,three Black Star players, Jonathan Mensah, David Accam and Harrison Afful have donated sanitizers, detergents, gloves, face masks and other protective items the Ashaiman Municipality.
