FIFA Set Date For Ghana To Respond To South Africa Match Fixing Allegations

FIFA has confirmed receipt of a protest from the South Africa Football Association.

The World governing body stated that their office have received petition from South Africa and has given Ghana an ultimatum to respond to the accusations filed against them.

South Africa on November 15 filed a protest against Ghana after losing a World Cup qualifier 1-0 on Sunday.

South Africa were hoping to qualify for the World Cup playoff but had their dream shattered following Andre Ayew’s 31st minute goal through a spot kick.

Believing that the call for a penalty was wrong and dubious against them, wants FIFA to lodge formal investigations.

According to FIFA’s communique, Ghana have up to November 20 to respond to all allegations leveled against them by South Africa.

Also, the Disciplinary Committee of Fifa will begin work on the issue on November 23 before a final ruling is made public days later.

The Bafana Bafana are hoping Fifa nullifies the result and set a new date for the match at a neutral ground
