The Black Maidens of Ghana will take on Morocco in the second leg of their fourth round of the 2022 India U-17 World Cup qualifiers today in Morocco.
Ghana who secured a 2-0 victory over the tough North African side in their first hurdle of the last stage of qualification last week will be hoping to avoid a defeat.
Baba Nuhu’s side who dominated their North African opponents, with goals from Stella Nyamekye and Nancy Amoh sealing an important victory will be looking forward to replicating same form at the Moulay-El Hassan Complex later today in Rabat, Morocco.
The head coach of side however has assured Ghanaians of a victory but believes it won’t be an easy task.
“Every team at this stage is a threat and a potential World Cup candidate because we have all gone through series of matches to get here. We even played a friendly match with them (Morroco) before starting the qualifiers and they were not bad even though we won that game. This is a different game, a World Cup qualifier. I know it will not be easy but I believe my players will win.”
Ghana is aiming at a record seventh appearance at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
