FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Guinea and Morocco postponed by CAF and FIFA

The FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Guinea and Morocco scheduled for Monday 6 September 2021 has been postponed to a later date by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) & FIFA following today’s coup d’état in the West African country.

A statement released by CAF on 5th August 2021 states that their highest priority in postponing the match is to protect players and match officials due to the political and security tension in Guinea.

CAF and FIFA further stated that the rescheduling date will be communicated to both teams on due time.
