Leader of the delegation for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Oduro Sarfo who doubles as an Exco member has revealed that the Confederation of African football has not taken any decision yet on Al Hilal and Asante Kotoko’s 2nd leg encounter.
The game which was supposed to come yesterday in Sudan was called off due to COVID 19 related issues, and according to some local media, Halal has been award all points and a progressing to the next stage of the competition.
Asante Kotoko before the game was notified of some of their players caring the COVID 19 virus, which according to Kotoko, the results of the test got tempered with.
Nana Oduro Sarfo explained that the office of Al Hilal had earlier told confirmed that the game won’t come on even before they received it officially.
“When we received the report, we realized that the seal of the report has been tempered already “.
“So that made us to disbelief the authenticity of the Covid-19 report”.
“The management of Kotoko is working tirelessly to salvage the situation”.
“We have made an official complaint to the Ghana Football Association to forward it to Caf”.
“And we are going to have another Covid-19 test this morning”.
“The players are psychologically motivated despite the situation, and they are ready to play the game at any time”.
“The supporters should praise the management for how they have handled the situation instead of insults.” He told Fox 97.9 Fm in Kumasi.
