FIVE BLACK STARS PLAYERS LIKELY TO MISS CALL UP FOR THE NIGERIA CLASH

Philemon Baffour and Mubarak Wakaso were part of Ghana’s disastrous AFCON team. Ghanaians heavily criticised Philemon’s Black Stars call up. Wakaso made the 2021 AFCON squad because of his commitment to Ghana.

Coach Otto Addo and his team are working hard to qualify the team for Qatar. The Black Stars failed to qualify for Russia’s 2018 World Cup finals. Great Olympics forward Maxwell Quaye may also lose his place in the black stars team.

Before the African Cup of Nations, Quaye was in top form for Accra Great Olympics. However, his recent dip in form will not compel Otto Addo to call the attacker. Ghana will need sharpshooters to qualify for the World Cup finals.

Goalkeeper Nurudeen Manaf was part of Ghana’s African Cup of Nations squad in Cameroon. Manaf was the third choice for Milovan Rajevac’s team.

Real Tamale United striker David Abagna is another local player on the list to miss out. The striker is struggling with injuries that will keep him out of the squad.

FC St. Gallen goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi, who has conceded forty-four (44) goals in his 23 game outfits for the Swiss top-flight league outfit, has been dropped alongside Yeni Malatyaspor striker Benjamin Tetteh.

Injured David Abagna Sanda and Maxwell Abbey Quaye of Great Olympics have also been left out of Otto Addo’s squad list for the all-important fixtures later this month.
