Former Hearts of Oak defender joins newly promoted Egyptian club.

Former Hearts of Oak defender William Dankyi will feature for newly promoted Egyptian club Al Helal after completing a move to the side.

The left-back joins as a free agent after leaving Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak at the end of last season.

Dankyi penned a three-year deal with the Egyptian outfit, keeping him at the club until 2025.

The Ghanaian defender is expected to play a huge role for the club.

He joined Hearts of Oak in 2018 after a stellar spell at Liberty Professionals.

During his four-year stint with the Phobians, Dankyi helped the club end the 11-year trophy drought, winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.

Before leaving the club, he helped the club to clinch the FA Cup and the league title.
