Former Asante Kotoko chairman Yaw Bawuah has died at the age of 82.
He died in the early hours of Friday, January 14, 2022, in Kumasi, family sources confirmed.
The legendary chairman led Kotoko to win their second CAF champions league trophy in 1983, beating Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the final.
He assembled the squad which included Opoku Nti, Papa Arko, Joseph Carr and former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah.
In 2019, Bawuah met with board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei, as the club celebrated him on his 80th birthday.
