Former NCC Secretary has claimed that Alhaji Akambi was exonerated by Togbe Afede and not the committee

A committee consisting of three members namely; Justice Ivy Heward-Mills, Frank Nelson and club Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore was formed to investigate bribery allegations leveled at Alhaji Akambi .

However, the Hearts of Oak board member was cleared of any form of wrongdoing by the committee on Saturday.

Meanwhile, former National Chapters Committee Secretary has disclosed that Alhaji Akambi was vindicated by the board Chairman long before the verdict was announced.

Spaeking to Oyerepa FM, “He was exonerated by the Board Chairman long before the committee even presented its report officially to the Board fee days ago. Yes, he’s free by the absolute uncompromising powers of his friend but the report says not,” he said.

“Ask about the reason there was heated exchanges between Frank Nelson (Committee Chair) and Togbe (Board Chair) over the issue. Please he has been exonerated by the Board Chairman, not the committee,”

“Togbe Afede XIV made sure Kuuku Bartels didn’t appear before the committee. The NCC is meeting this week on it and have invited me but am not sure I will make it,” he added.
