Former Panathinaikos manager applies for Ghana FA technical director job

Steve Rutter who is the current assistant manager for Greek side Atromitos Football Club has submitted an application for the technical director role of the Ghana Football Association.

The English manager has managed quite a number of teams in Europe and currently holds UEFA Licence A in coaching.

The former centre-back managed Yeovil Town as a caretaker when the club parted ways with Clive Whitehead.

Rutter was one of the very few experienced managers who were appointed by the then FA technical director of Football Howard Wilkinson to assist England manager Kevin Keegan prior to the UEFA Euro 2000.

The Ghana FA made it clear about a week ago that the current technical director, Mr. Oti Akenteng will not continue when his contract expires at the end of March 2020.

Ghana FA is searching for a new person to lead the technical department.
